Las Vegas MLS Stats for September 30, 2007
Its hard to believe we are three quarters through the year! 2008 will be here before you know it! I’m posting a new chart to show the number of listings in the Las Vegas MLS as of today, click on the image to see the details.
I think there is some good news! In the past two weeks there has been no change to the break-down percentage of listings and there is only 120 more homes on the market. I’m also seeing an increase in the number of rentals, today there are 3993 on the market. It looks to me that some owners have decided it is time to find a tenant and wait out this slow market. In the next three months I expect we will start to see our seasonal decline in listing inventory.
I’ve talked to several “Workers” on different projects on the strip this past week and it seems there are lots of jobs and they are having a hard time finding skilled people to fill the positions. I was also at the Venetian this week and the Palazzo in getting closer and closer to being ready. As it gets set to open, winter gets here, and with more volatility in the auto industry things have got to start moving! WE NEED MORE PEOPLE TO MOVE TO VEGAS! So pack up the car and get headed down the road, good things await you here in the desert.
